JBFCF, the whole story ...

Most importantly this website is not official, the only official website is James Blunt's English website that is administered by his friend Billy  (here)You will find on the web French and other websites claiming to be the official website but it is not the case,  here you can read explanations by Billy himself on this subject (in English).We have created this site out of passion for James and his kindness. He pays us back a hundredfold!

October 2006: For several months now James Blunt enchants us with his music, but also his kindness and his availability to his public. Delighted by James’s achievements since the beginning of his career, we have developed this website to pay tribute to him (and next will be his French fan club). Of course there are other sites about James but few are updated, or very rarely, and this has motivated us even further to provide, via our site, informations as often as possible!

July 2007: Our work has been completely destroyed by a web pirate, however we still intend to start the message board in early October, so the fans of the first hour quickly resume their marks, and then the site in early 2008. Meanwhile other sites have emerged.... but JBFCF has quickly resumed its pace, and by the end of 2008 we exceeded 500 members registered on our message board, a great victory!

Today the site is recognized by all, French fans, fans of other nationalities and the foreign media. Over time, with the growing success of our small site we decided to create the French fan club. We made a request and to our joy it was accepted. This was a great new challenge for us, we can not thank James enough! 

April 2008: ah paperwork! But the fan club is formed and registrations begins, very numerous, which delights us... To make the club more official we have declared the club as an association under the 1901 law at the Oise Prefecture (the town of the club’s headquarters) and publication in the Official Gazette has taken place. Thanks to the fan club, beautiful friendships are born!

Our thanks go to: the first on the list is of course James, without whom all this would not have occurred, but also to his musicians, John, Ben, Karl, Paul, and Malcolm (former bassist). Thank you to Peter, our English friend, without whom we would miss some info and who gives us lots of help. Thank you to NRJ radio especially Tony and Manu and Regis of NRJ Nîmes. Thank you to the publisher of "Fan of" for having cited us in the James’s French bibliography.... Thanks also go to all fans without whom JBFCF would not have had success, the people who visit our website, to Mrs Suitcase and Mrs Kermit who will recognize themselves, but also to members of our message board who visit it each day and make it very agreeable. As of the beginning of March 2009 we have over 600 members, thank you to those who were present for the first official meeting of the fan club last October, thank you to the moderators who ensure the smooth running of the message board, thank you all.
